Vision
Spiritual Care Link Middle East exists to serve and assist the Body of Christ and the Church of Jesus Christ in the Middle East. This is done by linking more churches and believers in Christ to our Arab Brethren and Churches in the Middle East through strategic and fruitful partnerships.
Board
Barry Cordova – Director Spiritual Care Link
Barry, a native of Scottsdale Arizona, began his ministry as a missionary to Jordan in 2000. He served there for 15 years. Barry served at the Jordan Evangelical Theological Seminary where he taught discipleship and directed the practical ministry department. Barry also served in a local Baptist church in Jordan for 14 years assisting the pastor and church leaders. Barry mentored students, taught small groups and ministered alongside Arab pastors in a variety of churches. Barry returned to Scottsdale in 2014 to start Spiritual Care Link and currently serves as the director. Barry studied at Arizona Bible College (BA Bible) and Phoenix Seminary (MDiv.) Barry also served on staff at Scottsdale Bible Church from 1997-99.
James R. McDowell – Board Chairman
Principal, McDowell Enterprises, LLC
Jim McDowell has over three decades of experience in real estate sales, acquisition and development. Since arriving in Arizona in 1978, Jim has planned and developed over 35 projects totaling over $200 million throughout the Southwest. Jim has served on the board of Phoenix Seminary. Jim and his three sons use their success in the marketplace as a means to reach people with the gospel of Jesus Christ.
Neil Montgomery
Neil serves as Sr. Pastor at Grace Point Church in Asheville, North Carolina. Prior to this Neil served as Pastor over Congregational Care at Scottsdale Bible Church for 10 years. Neil also served as lead Pastor at New Heart Community Church in McKinleyville, CA for ten years. Neil has pastored churches in Wisconsin and Canada. Neil has traveled to Jordan two times and served alongside of the pastors and ministries SCL serves and partners with. He is married to his college sweetheart, Karen whom he met while attending Moody Bible Institute in downtown Chicago.
Mark D’Hondt
Mark is originally from Canada and is a retired real estate appraiser. Mark and his wife Cheryl serve at Scottsdale Bible Church in a variety of ministries, as well as local outreaches in Phoenix area. Mark is a Chaplain with Heart to Heart chaplains. Mark also serves as a financial steward at Scottsdale Bible. Mark enjoys leading and teaching men’s bible studies as well as teaching the bible in retirement centers. Mark has made several trips to the Middle East and has served alongside of the pastors and ministries SCL serves and partners with.
Dr. Nabeeh Abbassi
Nabeeh, a Jordanian, was born in a small village in the north of Jordan. Nabeeh. Nabeeh is a graduate of Dallas Theological Seminary (Th.M. & DMin). Nabeeh serves as founder and director of ACCTS, Arab Center for Consulting and Training services in Amman, Jordan. He is also the Arab Affinity director for Christar, a mission agency serving the least reached, where he oversees ministries in the Middle East and North Africa. Nabeeh served as president of the Jordan Baptist Convention. Nabeeh planted a church in Jordan and has served as pastor of several Baptist churches in Jordan. He is a key Arab evangelical leader in Jordan and serves as a liaison between the Jordanian Government and the evangelical church in Jordan.

Fuhias/Rahwa Baptist Church – Amman, Jordan
The Fuhais church is lead by pastor Philip Sahawneh. The church has responded to the refugee crisis in Jordan by developing a refugee team. The team visits the refugees daily, distributing aid as needed. They do weekly and monthly events for the refugees such as children’s programs, trauma counseling, food – box distribution, medical and dental clinics. There are over 1 million Syrian refugees in Jordan as well as hundreds of thousands of Iraqis. The stories of the refugees are unimaginable and heartbreaking. The needs are huge. But God is working through His church and our Arab Brethren like never before.
Evangelical Nazarene Marka Church – Amman, Jordan
Pastor Hythum Mazahreh leads the ministries of the Philadelphia Marka Church. In order to be more effective and do more outreach, Hythum started a Jordanian NGO, Sense, Care, Achieve (SCA). Please click on the links and see how God is working through the Philadelphia Marka Church.

Back to Jerusalem Ministries – Israel
Pastor Rajai Samawi, who pastors a church in Nazareth, Israel, started this ministry in order to empower the local church to evangelize, disciple and plant churches. It’s to encourage the global body of Christ to come and to help bring the gospel back to where it started from, among the Arabs, Jews and all the inhabitants of the Land.

Remission Ministries
Remission is an exciting and an innovative initiative by a group of millennials. They have a vision to see millennials in the middle east be glorious in worship, deep in discipleship, influential in action, and powerful in witness.
